Envelope
Cell phones, email, and social media have radically changed how we communicate with one another. We don’t write letters and hand address envelopes often anymore. But the envelope remains as a symbol, a container of unknown contents, secrets, and unexpected messages. Receiving an envelope can spark curiosity, anticipation, and suspense. I am exploring the idea and the image of the envelope by inking and printing envelopes onto paper and using these prints as raw materials for collage.
